TWL Week 5

The match started a little late because of Unit's TWL CDC problems, but we were fired up about the match and finally it started after a dead round(Thnx to IDS's captain). The first round on honor was going to be an Alpha rush, but Slim was going to spam. During the first round Slim quickly got spammed, and it was a 3v4 situation. Unit camped yellow making sure no one ran around gray or alpha building, and Dynamic took charlie then camped. Fu-a was camping bravo and took out 2 guys in Alpha building. We pretty much used this strat for honor the whole time and won all our rounds. During halftime they tried subbing a player in, but he got crit once he joined.....so then we started a dead round. He joined again but got a crit again so instead of trying again they brought the other player back in. Altogether we ended up using 3 dead rounds after halftime which really pissed us off! Well anyways our strat on loyalty was very easy to understand... two went gray and two alpha. The opposing team wasnt very good at honor so we pretty much rushed them every single round. Except one round where Fu-a and Slim got picked off. Then dynamic got a kill for a death. The only one left was Unit but he couldnt clutch it so that was our first lost round. We won the rest and on the last round all of us rushed right threw the middle of the street and still won the round.

Final Score: 11-1[-iCe.]

-iCe.dynam!c. 7-4
-iCe.uNit.. 10-4
-iCe.Fu-a.. 10-5
-iCe.sLim.. 13-6 MVP

CAL Week 2 vs. DFO

Tonight's pre-match was problematic. Due to Hafiz's leave of absence for vacation we didnt have CAL scripts running on our server, so we asked DFO if we could use their server and that was agreed upon. But about 30 minutes before match time one of their members irc-ed me and informed me that they couldnt set up their server because their admin wasn't in town. So with some emergency phone calls they got the r-con password and fixed the server up. So thankfully, we were good to go for the match. The map, Weapons Cache SE, was primarily new to us as a team so we figured out our strengths and weaknesses through scrims and thankfully got enough prep for the match.

So in the match we started with defence, primarily planning to camp tertiary and switching around with possibly a primary camp. We covered tertiary with Beyond covering SR and loading warehouse 2nd floor, Slim camping double doors and Unit and Dynamic cross covering North and South entrance. We won about 3 straight rounds with Slim almost acing one round and unit picking up easy picks. On the 4th round, we had a stumble with trying to get to tertiary and resulted in slim and dynamic getting picked off by a DFO rush. Unit tryed to play passive but got double teamed loading warehouse stairs after picking off one. Beyond was left alive trying to cover tertiary obj but got headshotted through the door. All went smooth even through about 5 assault rounds when in the 12th round we failed to bum rush with smoke. The next two rounds were pretty much pubbed by DFO.They camped in awkward spots but we maintained our composure and finished it off with a 12-2 victory. It was a close running for MVP between slim and unit so I just decided that i would choose whoever had the most kills which ended up to be unit.

Final Score: 12-2 [-iCe.]

TWL Week 4 vs -GoD^

The match kicked off with iCe on defense playing it safe. Beyond and sheikh split the job on bridge while Slim and Dynamic took the east. Sheikh had some unsuccessful attempt in rushing and spamming and took four deaths in the first six rounds while Dynamic went untouched with a solid control of the east hill. Slim had a tough time but hung in there to aid Dynamic in his astonishing accomplishment. Beyond also had a remarkable effort with covering the bridge with Sheikh AND taking a responsibility in covering east as well playing both ways. This spellbinding and successful team work took its toll in helping us go undefeated for the defensive half of the match.

On assault, Ice featured two main strategies and one strategy that didn’t go so well yet had some laughs. We played the first round having three go ridge and keeping Sheikh on the bridge to throw them off. This worked very well with Beyond, Slim, and Dynamic pushing hard up the east hill to take out three of them while sneaky Sheikh had one kill on the bridge early off. The next three rounds featured a three bridge and Sheikh ridge strategy where an astonishing success took place on the bridge rush with Sheikh on the look out for the flank.

The tenth round was a VERY close one with Sheikh dying early from a spam nade on his way to the ridge and Beyond and Slim getting killed on the rush killing only one man on the opposing team. Dynamic faced the unbelievable reality of clutching three opfor . He picked off and opfor who went middle top and pushed hard middle and rushed up east killing a man at the top of the hill and then running it into objective successfully dodging the last mans bullet at 1 second remaining. Ice was so far undefeated with Dynamic STILL without a death. The next round flipped the strategy again with Sheikh on the bridge and the other three doing a successful push up the ridge. This threw them off once again when Sheikh flanked the ridge cover from behind to take out the last man standing to make Ice take an 11-0 lead.

The final round was a goof. At the beginning of the round Sheikh opened his mouth and announced an all out Valley rush, assuming this would throw them off for sure. Of course, it didn’t because a man rushing the enemy left catwalk caught a stampede through the valley and called the rest of his team to take us out. Luckily, the opposing team had wasted their 203’s spamming. Still Ice faced a major face crush with Slim and Beyond getting picked off rather quickly. The last stand on this “strategy” featured everyone yelling at Sheikh who kept running in circles not knowing what the hell to do and Dynamic hugging a tree for a long two to three minutes until he met his death. The last 30 seconds of the matched ended up with Sheikh finally running up to the Valley mouth but getting picked off without any success. Hilarious? Indeed!

Final Score: 11-1[-iCe.]

Dynamic was unanimously voted as the MVP for his seXy effort in taking a hold on East on Defense and going almost without a death on assault along with taking the amazing victory during the tenth round by himself against three opfor. Can you say clutch?

-iCe.dynam!c. 13-2 MVP!

CAL Week 1

CAL Urban Assault vs LS- [WIN]

We started out on east where the first 4 rounds went back and
fourth with us winning the 2nd and 3rd rounds and LS winning the
1st and fourth rounds. Only highlight was Bey0nd clutching it 2v1
where he easily killed first guy and flashed 2nd guy but could not kill
him with most of his clip where he got a fix jam with 8 bullets left but
was still able to kill last LS guy. The rest of the rounds on assault
east went easily our way with uNit, dynamic and sLim getting most
of the kills.

Assault west was pretty much the same except for one round where
they raped everyone with a west rush, but from there on the match
was ours and we took the remaining rounds to make it a 8-4
win for Ice Cold Gaming.

iCe.slim.. 11-5 MVP!
iCe.uNit.. 8-4
iCe.Bey0nd^aLL. 5-8
iCe.dynam!c. 9-5

Final score: -iCe.( - LS(4)

gg'z LS 8-)
